Anne-Marie Duff, an English actress, who also writes stories is a highly talented actress. Duff's television debuts came in the late 90s when she was a graduate of Drama Centre London. She gained fame as Fiona Gallagher, the lead character in UK TV's Shameless in its initial two seasons. The Virgin Queen (2006) followed, with her playing the title role, Queen Elizabeth. From Darkness, a television show From Darkness (2013) also included her as the main character. Duff played the role of Enigma in Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters Notions on a Scandal (2007) French Film (2008) The Last Station, Nowhere Boy Before Go To Sleep (2014) as well as Suffragette (2005). The roles she played of Shameless the Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette earned her BAFTA nominations in categories like the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories and she was given her the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her work in the TV film The History of Mr Polly. Anne-Marie Duff has been a successful award-winning English actor who made her mark on the stage, radio and television. Her role as a mainstream star was Fiona Gallagher in the British comedy-drama TV show Shameless as well as Queen Elizabeth I on the mini-series of television The Virgin Queen. Anne-Marie also has a long performance history on stage, including extensive work with The Royal National Theatre.
